Software Engineer, iOS

What you’ll do:

• Create and refine high performance mobile apps that push the limits of mobile technology
• Ensure the highest quality of product engineering implementation
• Design, architect and implement well-tested Swift software
• Conceptualize, develop, and launch innovative new features
• Carefully evaluate the tradeoffs of technical decisions
• Work with the design team to ensure high-quality product execution
• Work with backend and technical leads to hone in on the best infrastructure practices
• Carry out code reviews to guarantee code quality
• Inspire a team of peers and contribute to a creative and collaborative environment

Minimum qualifications:

• At least 6-8 years of experience in developing mobile applications for iOS
• Proficiency with multithreading and performance optimization techniques for iOS
• Deep understanding of Swift, UIKit, Foundation, Cocoa, and iOS memory management
• Experience with client optimization (profiling, logging, crash tracking, troubleshooting)
• Comprehensive under-the-hood understanding of Swift runtime and processes
• Strong CS fundamentals (algorithms and data structures) and problem-solving skills
• Knowledge of software design patterns and iOS best practices
• BS/BA degree in a technical field such as Computer Science (or equivalent years of experience)
• Desire to create world-class mobile experiences
• A love for tackling tough technical challenges
• Ability to collaborate and work well with others

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience with GRPC and Protobufs
• Experience with Realm
• Experience in reactive codebases (not necessarily React Native or Rx)
• Strong knowledge of multithreading and concurrency
• SwiftUI experience
