Connect Space is looking for a talented Back End Engineer to help drive our mission. This is a unique opportunity to work in an early stage company and make decisions that directly impact the platform and infrastructure.

Responsibilities:

• Implementing server infrastructure improvements
• Back-end optimizations and monitoring
• Feature development on the platform following lead of product
• Communicate effectively with engineering team on progress of tasks
• Building upon RESTful API’s to support internal applications, and external integrations

Key Qualifications:

• 3+ years of software development experience in designing and developing high performance, reliable and scalable production systems.
• Solid understanding of core computer science fundamentals and distributed systems
• Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
• Experience with writing unit tests and integration tests.
• Experience with Ruby on Rails or similar framework
• Experience with NoSQL technologies such as Redis, MongoDB is a plus
• Experience with version control such as Git
• AWS or related server experience
