Regional Workplace Manager - Washington DC, Boston

From the morning essentials that get us started to the office space that inspires and supports our productivity, the Workplace Operations team is there to make it happen. As the Regional Workplace Manager, you will lead your region's efforts to ensure Compass’ offices are a great place to come to work. You’re a strategic, proactive, and detail-oriented leader who knows how to get buy-in from different departments and execute plans effectively; all while being a supportive manager to your team.


At Compass You Will:

* Manage, empower, and provide hands-on support for your team, making sure your direct reports have the necessary resources to be successful.
* Define onboarding plans, ongoing training, and performance expectations for your teammates.
* Be the point of escalation for questions, facilities issues, vendor management, and building management across your portfolio.
* Develop and maintain standard operating procedures, planned and preventive facilities maintenance best practices, and team staffing plans.
* Oversee, proactively monitor, and assess vendor relationships, service contracts, and regional budget.
* Play a key role in the decision making process for space planning, renovations, resourcing, budgets, and special initiatives using P&L spend and occupancy information and with input from Growth teams, Sales Managers, and General Managers
* Optimize space utilization and drive positive agent and employee experience via policy and programming implementation on a regional scale
* Act as SPOA on regional initiatives and rollouts, cascading to local WPO staff and partnering with various HQ teams and stakeholders as necessary
* Partner with various members of the Workplace Operations team in the execution of special projects and initiatives, including office openings, facilities upgrades, capital improvements, process documentation/iteration, and vendor evaluations.

What We Look For:

* BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience.
* A minimum of 4-6 years of workplace operations experience with an emphasis on facilities, hospitality, corporate services, or equivalent office management experience.
* A minimum of 4-6 years of people management experience.
* Ability to travel to different regional offices up to 20% of the time.
* Previous experience managing multiple locations, preferably across different cities.
* Experience growing a portfolio of office from the ground up or prior experience in a high growth organization.
* Solid knowledge of property management, food service, leases, construction terms and practices, and industry trends.
* Experience managing budgets with strong financial, contract management and purchasing skills.
* Proven record of affecting strategic change and initiatives.
* Experience using business software programs including Google applications.
* Knowledge of interior design and architectural drawings a huge plus.
* Ability to instill heightened attention to detail in team members and peers
* Ability to multitask, establish priorities, meet deadlines and make sound decisions.
* Solid stakeholder management, leadership and project management skills
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
