CommonBond is seeking an Account Manager, School Relations to drive growth by developing relationships with Financial Aid Offices at universities and colleges across an assigned portfolio of client schools. Candidates must have experience in the Student Lending and/or Financial Aid industry.

You have great communication skills, with a roll-up-your-sleeves attitude. You love creating new relationships as well as building upon existing relationships.  You can thrive in a conference setting, including presenting during sessions.  You are detail oriented and are determined to source and win lender list RFP/RFIs from colleges and universities.  You are energized by calling and emailing contacts at Financial Aid offices.  You are a creative thinker who is self-motivated, results driven and excited to collaborate with colleagues to help grow your portfolio and the business.

The Account Manager, School Relations will:

* Lead consultative sales activities for school targets via meetings and calls with key college and university decision makers
* Promote brand identity and competitive advantages of CommonBond while leveraging your existing relationships, creating new business relationships and gaining lender list placements
* Identify target sale opportunities throughout your target list to gain exposure for CommonBond and earn the opportunity to participate in RFI/RFPs. Lead delivery and presentation of proposals as applicable
* Utilize effective strategies to secure appointments with prospective clients while utilizing Salesforce to document and track pipeline progress and sale opportunities
* Attend and represent CommonBond at key conferences. Deliver presentations when possible, conduct outreach pre- and post-conference and maximize conference ROI
* Conduct outreach to key financial aid offices multiple times a year over the phone and via email
* Collaborate with the sales leadership and the marketing team on various initiatives including collateral and materials for conferences, direct mail and email campaigns

Desired Qualifications

* 5+ years in the Financial Aid and/or Student Lending industries
* Customer-facing/relationship building skills

** Ability to engage with Financial Aid administrators at conferences, over the phone, and through email
** Build strong influencer relationships with target schools
** Understand proper cadence to build and maintain relationship over time
** Public speaking (present at conferences, deliver RFI/RFPs etc.)

* Project management/coordination skills

** Conferences – working with sales management to coordinate logistics (dates, travel arrangements, speaking slots) and conduct outreach before and after conference
** Direct mail - manage communication cadence to your target schools
** Sources and submit RFI/RFPs to CommonBond for response
** Manage your travel schedule and budget effectively to ensure maximized ROI on resources

* Self-motivated, ability to work autonomously and find opportunities to increase success
* Collaborate effectively with sales team and advocate for necessary tools and resources
