Software Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, test and maintain backend REST APIs
• Coordinate with robotics engineers to build data pipelines for robots
• Work with DevOps engineers to build/extend CI/CD pipelines
• Contribute to overall architecture design to build robust, scalable systems
• Participate in standups, code reviews, testing on physical robots and other team activities of a typical agile team

Technical qualifications:

• 3+ year(s) of experience developing enterprise applications using Python/Flask
• Proper understanding and proven implementation of REST APIs
• Strong fundamentals in data modeling and databases; both SQL and NoSQL(PostgreSQL, MongoDB)
• Experience with core AWS services like EC2, RDS, S3 and Lambda
• Strong understanding of containers and Docker
• Strong understanding of source control using Git

Helpful Additional Skills:

• Familiarity with Linux platform, its configuration and Unix shell scripting
• Experience/Familiarity with Kubernetes
• Experience with data streaming/processing pipelines
• Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, TravisCI, Spinnaker etc
• Basic understanding of Agile development methodologies
