TITLE: Manager of Employer Partnerships
PRIMARY FUNCTION: Cultivate new and maintain existing relationships with employer partners, assist with professional development and career placement for graduating Codeup students.
REPORTS TO: VP of Business Development, Stephen Salas

Codeup is a 20-week career accelerator that launches careers in software development and data science! Our immersive, project-based curriculum helps to empower people to change their professional and personal lives. We are building the Texas tech ecosystem by training the next generation of developers and data scientists, creating new jobs, and helping companies grow their talent pipeline.

Our team at Codeup strives to be helpful, cultivate inclusive growth, deliver excellence and act with integrity at all times. Although each of us holds a great number of responsibilities, we still manage to have spirited debates, tell jokes, and build close relationships.


-Manage cohorts ranging from 20-25 students through six-month job search cycles to ensure placement in-field.
-Evaluate, prioritize, and address inbound requests related to student job searches as they arise, containing all requests within a standardized workflow.
-Assist the Admission Manager(s) by conducting final-round video or in-person interviews with prospective students.
-Proactively conduct 1x1 appointments with students to assist with professional development, job search strategy, etc. and motivate, train, and mentor them through this process.
-Conduct mock behavioral interviews and provide interview coaching/feedback to students.
-Review resumes, online profiles and other materials to drive the success of high-stakes job applications.
-Identify and troubleshoot students in need of support, and be a compassionate advocate for all job-seeking graduates.
-Collect and maintain all data related to student job searches and student placement to support an up to date database and ensure compliance with the Texas Workforce Commission regulations.


-Strong leader with the ability to influence outcomes.
-Proactive communicator and decision-maker.
-Able to work with diverse staff, students, and stakeholder groups (execs, alums, employer partners, and tech community partners, etc).
-Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
-Empathetic listener and communicator.
-Execute established playbooks and/or create new ones that improve upon existing processes
-College degree preferred but not required.
