With brand new products on the horizon, we’re seeking an accomplished Senior Product Marketing Manager to help lead the product marketing strategy at Codecademy.  We’re looking for an experienced marketer with an analytical nature, passion for consumer behavior, and a knack for creating compelling narratives. In this role, you will be tasked with the responsibility of creating the positioning and go-to-market strategies that help connect users with our products. You’ll use your analytical skills and creativity to help execute multi-channel campaigns that drive acquisition and elevate the Codecademy brand. 


* Play a key part in developing the positioning strategy and messaging hierarchy for our overall brand and existing and future product lines
* Own the go-to-market launch planning to ensure successful launches for new and existing products and features
* Collaborate with Product and Data Science teams to track and influence the improvement of product adoption and engagement metrics across our audiences
* Articulate the user journey, uncover user insights, and identify key user needs to focus the product roadmap on the largest business opportunities
* Work with channel marketers (email, paid marketing, etc.) to build onboarding, engagement, and acquisition programs that include measurable goals and outcomes
* Develop the strategy and oversee the execution of seasonal brand campaigns
* Collaborate with a Senior Copywriter and Brand Designer to communicate our brand narrative and connect with our learners
* Partner with agencies to craft our brand narrative, voice, and messaging strategy


* 5-7 years of experience in marketing; some experience in consumer technology preferred.
* Experience articulating the essence of products and the value they create. You can develop strong product positioning and messaging hierarchy and work with partner teams to infuse into a holistic marketing and content strategy plan.
* A knack for finding creative, fresh ways to explain traditional ideas. Passionate storyteller with strong writing skills and the ability to distill complex ideas into simple concepts.
* Strong empathy for the end user. Obsession with understanding user problems and needs.
* Strong analytical ability, including familiarity and understanding of Google Analytics, Looker, or similar tools
* Experience doing qualitative and quantitative user research and documenting and evangelizing user insights across the company
* Ability to independently drive multiple projects at a time, meet tight deadlines, and push projects further than expected
* Extremely strong communication and interpersonal skills, and ability to work cross-functionally with a variety of partners
* Flexibility - things change often and we need someone who can roll with the punches and adapt quickly


* Familiarity with the Jobs to Be Done and Design Sprint methodologies
* Experience working with international expansion
* An understanding of pricing and packaging and feature bundling
* Experience doing product marketing for a consumer SaaS product
* Interest in coding or passion for empowering others through coding education is a plus
