Cobu is a real estate technology and services startup headquartered in Boston on a mission to create a stronger sense of community in residential apartment living for millions of people globally. Cobu is changing the way property managers and residents can create community in the apartment buildings where they live. The Business Development Representative will have a big impact on Cobu’s growth working directly with Cobu’s CEO, COO, Sales, and Marketing teams to identify and generate interest with prospective partners - both apartment buildings and local service providers that Cobu partners with to build stronger communities.

You are a confident and influential communicator, passionate about pursuing a career in technology sales, passionate about early stage start-ups, interested in the multifamily residential real-estate industry and bringing innovative new solutions to that space. You have a strong work ethic, are a scrappy resourceful self-starter, bring positive energy to work each day, and enjoy being part of a cross-functional team. You love interacting with customers, listening to them, finding ways to deliver amazing value to them, and building trusting relationships.


Responsibilities:

* Build a plan to research and reach out to key potential prospects and have a timeline for execution to help the team meet and exceed Sales goals
* Generate meetings for the Sales team through outbound prospecting and rapid response to and qualification of inbound leads
* Effectively identify qualified leads, communicate Cobu’s value proposition, and coordinate opportunities directly with the Sales team
*Manage follow ups with prospects and opportunities to keep the sales process moving forward
*Facilitate and support getting agreements in place with partners
*Handle inbound sales requests and manage follow up communications and related materials
*Support the creation, optimization, delivery of sales and marketing collateral to support the sales process
* Be scrappy, resourceful, and use all available resources to reach out to key prospects and establish a line of communication
* Spend time optimizing the role and process of the BDR


Requirements:

* Have a BA/BS or equivalent
* Have a strong desire to be in technology sales, and the prop-tech/multi-family real estate space, and have a baseline framework for how to sell
* Have excellent written/verbal communication skills and a natural influencer
* Entrepreneurial, self-starter, professional, resilient, relentless and scrappy
* Are excited, motivated, and inspired by exceeding goals
* Are energetic, engaging, thoughtful, and self-aware
* Have experience and thrive in working in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment
* Continuously seeks improvement
* Ability to listen, learn, and solve problems
* Ability to capture detailed information into sales pipeline management software (salesforce.com)
* Experience with sales and marketing software is a plus (ie, salesforce.com, Hubspot)
* Some travel
