This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to lead all analyst relations efforts and influence strategy for a hyper-growth startup. Our product is unique in that it’s highly customizable - it can be used for all industries and for use cases ranging from very simple to highly complex. It will be your job to distill our product and brand messaging and help us connect with analysts around the world through targeted engagements and personal relationships. Working within the larger Marketing team, you will collaborate with everyone from PR to Product to develop an analyst strategy that highlights ClickUp's platform and market differentiation and helps our company grow.

You will be responsible for proactively maintaining positive relationships with leading industry analysts and influencers and driving awareness and coverage of ClickUp's vision, strategy, differentiation and market momentum. In this role, you will have a direct opportunity to impact ClickUp's results, while also helping to do things differently and define your own role and growth by bringing in new approaches and innovating AR processes and communications as needed.

As the ideal candidate, you will bring established relationships with leading industry analyst firms, and a proven track record of managing analyst relationships, strategic planning and execution of briefings, analyst tours and strategy days. You will also have experience growing coverage and delivering favorable product evaluations performed by analyst firms, preferably in a technology or SaaS environment. Finally, you will be experienced working with executive leadership, managing budgets, and collaborating within larger organizations.

The Role

  • Plan and execute all aspects of a targeted, global analyst relations program.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with key analysts, influencers and internal stakeholders.
  • Manage regular analyst engagements, including strategy days, briefings, inquiries, meetings and events.
  • Provide strategic guidance to product strategy and product marketing teams based on insights gained from analyst research and feedback/input.
  • Manage the creation of presentations and briefing documents for analyst engagements.
  • Contribute to sales strategies based on analyst recommendations and perspectives.
  • Manage all aspects of preparing and executing a Gartner Magic Quadrant, Forrester Wave, IDC
  • MarketScape or equivalent research from smaller AR firms.
  • Read analysts’ published research and social media posts, summarize and provide recommendations for engagement and next steps.
  • Work with product marketing and product management teams to drive the right intelligence, extract product messaging and create strategies to win mind share and positioning with Analysts.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of analyst relations/communications/product marketing experience in the tech industry, preferably project management software/SaaS.
  • Ability to “think across boundaries” - work with Development, PR and Product Marketing and distill and deliver messages from those teams back to our own.
  • Know how to explain complex subjects in a simple way that people can understand.
  • Ability to create and tell a simple customer oriented or benefit driven value proposition.
  • Strong attention to detail and an ability to manage numerous deadline-driven projects simultaneously.
  • Experience working directly with executives, product management, public relations and product marketing functions.
  • Clear understanding of technology and can abstract business/solution value.
  • Ability to develop metrics, build executive summaries, and communicate business and technology insights.
  • Demonstrated ability to form authentic, trust-based relationships with analysts, clients and colleagues.
  • High-energy and ability to juggle multiple deliverables at a fast pace while delivering results for positive positioning and favorable ratings with analysts and influencers.
  • Ability to thrive in our fast-paced, ever-changing, and highly collaborative environment; and assisting in other marketing, customer support, and company activities as needed.
