Head of Machine Learning

We are currently experiencing a lot of growth and are looking to expand and develop technology that adds to the Chiefly experience in the form of a web app that is powered by cutting edge analytics. We are seeking senior data scientist or machine learning engineer with a proven track record in deploying analytical models as well as experience in startup growth to join our team.

We’re starting our pre-seed raise, have a few B2B clients, and have a working MVP.

**** What We’re Looking For: ****

A skilled machine learning leader with strong expertise in areas such as deep learning, cloud-based computing, and product driven analytics. You can lead a team of data scientists to prototype, train, and deploy models to production and find creative ways to utilize analytics to improve the product.

You will be in charge of leading the Machine Learning and AI team to develop AI driven features and analytics to revolutionize our leadership development experience. You should have strong leadership and communication skills, domain expertise, start up experience, and the ability to stick to an agile software development workflow.

*Responsibilities and duties include, but are not limited to: *

Lead and participate in agile problem solving, collaborate with cross functional teams, and design innovative solutions
Apply data science expertise including machine learning, deep learning and AI techniques to generate new insights and solve business problems
Manage a small team of data scientists to develop AI driven features and analytics for our app
Design and configure data pipelines and workflows
Improve and optimize the cloud infrastructure in AWS
Ensure the scalability of the application
Explore new technologies and evaluating implementation benefits
See the project through from inception through multiple product releases
Align the business objectives with the product offering
Promote Chiefly’s core values
Manage technology related contracts including procurement and renewals
Collaborate with stakeholders

Minimum Qualifications:

5+ years experience working with data and utilizing quantitative techniques
Experience leading a team of analysts and/or data scientists
Knowledgeable in industry standards and practices for product development and release

Knowledgeable in data security compliance
Comfortable using one or more statistical programming languages (i.e., Python/R/SAS)

Experience with using Tensorflow and/or PyTorch for deep learning
Experience with cloud services (Preferably AWS, but GCP and Azure is fine)

Experience in global IT organizations

Experience with start-up enterprises

Experience implementing and supporting business applications

Experience with diverse technologies to achieve business objectives
