We're looking for an experienced Front End Engineer to join our team. You will be responsible for the development and maintenance of the Cavewire front end infrastructure. Our web development team handles the entire application infrastructure, which includes the Web Application (PHP), Web Server (Ubuntu/Apache) and Database Server (MySQL). The right individual for this role needs to take initiative and responsibility for their work, having pride and attention to detail in everything they do. They will be working closely with other experienced developers who will provide guidance and experience where necessary.

You will be responsible for providing an easy to use solution to help wholesale brands to develop a more efficient and seamless experience for selling their products online to a growing global community of leading retailers. With rapid growth we are expanding our team and looking for an experienced individual to help us shift the way brands and retailers do business online and in-store. Successful applicants will ultimately have experience in ecommerce. This role will report directly to the Cavewire leadership team.

/// Primary Responsibilities
-Transform designs into standards-based code using HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
- Create custom client-side solutions to extend site functionality and enhance user experience.
- Collaborate with UX and Interactive designers.
- Provide input into development, design and the enhancement of systems and procedures, recommending strategies for implementing new and existing policies.
- Help resolve issues and requests presented by users and staff.
- Help update and customise Magento modules and extensions.
- Optimize web page loading speeds and achieving W3C compliance standards.

/// Experience
- 2+ years experience with Magento.
- Competency in programming in template driven PHP and MVC architecture.
- Responsive development for cross device compatibility.
- Proficiency in web technologies including HTML, XHTML, CSS & Javascript.
- Experience with project based work.
- Fluent in HTML5/CSS3 and able to develop valid client-side markup.
- Solid knowledge of CSS support for both modern and legacy browsers.
- Experience with eCommerce platform Magento.
- Experience with CSS preprocessors such as LESS.
- An impeccable eye for detail with the ability to match your UI to any design in a cross-browser environment.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with an affinity for problem-solving.
- Adobe suite (PS, AI, etc) skills are an added bonus.

- Ultimately you would have a BS/BA degree with experience in self service B2B cloud software.
- Related industry background and experience in IT service management, start up experience, and/or agile software development is a plus.
