We’re looking for an Analytics Manager who will be responsible for driving and inspiring high-quality data analytics for Carousell Philippines marketplace across growth and monetization spanning multiple verticals. This person will be the key thought leader in driving data strategy & operations for Carousell Philippines, and will partner with the country lead and key country business stakeholders in ensuring a holistic understanding of the business data trends and that business initiatives road maps are data-informed.

This role will report to the Director of Data Analytics based in Singapore. Candidate must be able to work in Ortigas, Pasig, Philippines.

You will:

* Strategic:
** Design business oriented reporting dashboards and analysis to monitor key performance indicators
** Apply in-depth data analysis and research to the various verticals in the marketplace to derive actionable insights
** Support the different business units in drilling down into business problems and providing recommendations using data analysis, backed by business acumen and creative thinking
** Partnering with the country leadership and product teams to locate risks and/or identify high-impact opportunities using data
** Building a strong culture of data-informed decision making across the company
** Working with the analytics HQ team in aligning and implementing best-practice functional standards for data analytics

* Operational:
** Able to roll up sleeves to drive special projects and analyses that are critical to the business, by ensuring detail orientation, coherent data storytelling, rigorous analysis standards, and actionable conclusions
** Able to project manage an analytics backlog, containing both strategic and operational needs, and ruthlessly prioritise with 80-20 principles to ensure the right things are being worked on to deliver business value

* People Management:
** Managing, mentoring and developing a team of Business Analysts to achieve high standards in quality of work and meaningful career growth

You have:

* At least six (6) years of experience, either in strategy role ideally from a top tier management consulting firm, in-house analytics in a technology company, or similar environment with high exposure to diverse business challenges
* Strong business-orientation and acumen
* Experience in applying data analytics and quantitative methods to real customer and business problems
* Experience in entrepreneurial/fast-paced environments is highly valued
* Understanding of marketplace or e-commerce businesses is preferred
* An advanced degree in business, economics, and statistics, analytics related course is preferred but not required
* Ability to communicate insights and solutions in a structured and meaningful way to company executives and peers using data and evidence.
* Ability to build trust and influence across domains and foster collaboration
* Strong leadership skills with ability to develop people/teams
* Passion to understand business problem statements and ability to process strategic briefs, prioritize and deliver accordingly
* Skilled in applied statistical analysis, data visualization and presentation, business requirements analysis
* Familiar with using BI tools (e.g. Looker, Tableau) and basic understanding of Data Warehouse concepts (e.g. Big Query, Redshift)
