As an expert in the payments and fintech industry, you’ll lead a team of product managers and UX/UI specialists in an agile and fast paced environment to build innovative financial services products that consumers love. You’ll install a product culture that incorporates best practice across product planning, customer discovery, product discovery and product development and champion growth by delivering innovative payment solutions.


Product strategy

  • Use your deep understanding of the cards and payments industry to define and deliver your vision for CardUp’s product, delivering innovations that transform the payments industry and are global firsts for the sector.

  • Assess the commercial viability of ideas with payment network partners, regulators and the broader management team, ensuring products are executed flawlessly whilst at the same time being compliant.

  • Develop a deep understanding of our customers and their needs, learning from their behavior (analytics, tracking, research and insight) and combining this data with your domain expertise to create game changing financial products that are valuable, usable and feasible.

Product partnerships

  • Lead product partnerships with payment networks, banks, government bodies, insurance companies and more. Articulate CardUp’s product vision and capabilities at the C-suite level, gaining buy in and negotiating commercially viable ways to implement these partnerships that result in a win-win for both sides. Oversee the delivery of the solutions seamlessly, providing an excellent experience for both the partner and end customers.

  • Be the bridge between the technical and business team, understanding the language of the business, the market needs of the customer as well as regulatory requirements. Engage and influence stakeholders through constant evangelism to build cross-functional buy-in and commitment to a shared product vision and strategy.

Product Execution

  • Oversee product delivery from ideation, development, launch, and iteration of approaches to improve revenue and user experience.

  • Play a lead role in product marketing, relay the product’s value and benefits and how to communicate these to users. 

  • Stay close and be aware of all relevant government regulations and payment legislation across the markets where we operate and ensure the product is compliant at all times.

Past experience 

  • 13+ years product management experience in fintech or consumer facing technology platforms.
  • 3+ years people leadership experience.
  • Domain knowledge in the payments space and past experience building and scaling payments products across APAC markets.
  • Demonstrated ability to project manage a technical product rollout using agile and scrum development methodologies.
  • Flexible and able to multi-task; can work within an ambiguous, fast-moving environment, while also driving toward clarity and solutions.
  • Excellent communication skills and personal qualities of integrity, credibility and quality.
