Our mission is to help the 46+ million student loan borrowers better understand their debt, find federal forgiveness programs, and enroll. Our clients include Fortune 500 companies, financial institutions and the nation’s largest membership groups, who use our platform to help their employees and members better manage their student loans and save money.

We are seeking a Business Development Manager. The candidate must have direct sales experience, be a self-starter who is comfortable working in a fast collaborative environment, and has an entrepreneurial attitude. This is the chance to get in at the ground floor of an exciting startup, tackling a major problem for young adults across the country.

Duties Include:
1. Lead business development strategies
a. Pitching to clients and partners
b. Responsible for closing and monitoring a specific set of accounts
c. Identifying new and creative partnership strategies

2. Conduct and compile research

3. Develop expertise in our communication & policy goals, industry issues, and key stakeholders and target audiences

4. Coordinate with product team to implement tool enhancements

Qualifications:
1. 2-4 years of direct sales experience. A strong candidate would have:
- Experience selling SaaS
- Experience selling to HR
- Experience with cold-calling
- Experience as an Account Manager or Account Specialist
- Experience in a start-up

2. Possess good interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work effectively with others

3. Detail oriented with strong organizational skills

4. Ability and willingness to work in a fast-paced work environment

5. An interest in and aptitude for working with new technologies and a social-impact start-up

6. Interest in the social impact mission of the company.
