At Brooklyness we are creating a better commute. We are a micromobility brand that cares about making commuting easier for people all across urban environments--not just people who live in the middle of the city where various bike and scooter share are likely to be deployed. 

We are building the vehicles of the future that are optimized for innovative and affordable lease models, that are sturdy, easy to take on and off other forms of transportation. We want to save time for people everywhere from the Rockaways to Maspeth and Bushwick to Staten Island and we believe we can make the whole transportation system easier and more accessible for everyone.  

As the GM, you will lead the efforts on all matters related to growth and business operations. Your uncanny financial expertise will help you develop projections, systems, and processes for the business to grow and scale fast.

You have a track record of building teams and systems tied directly to the top and bottom-line results of the organization, ideally with experience discovering and designing business solutions and working cross-functionally across a fast-growing business.

You will play a critical role in driving demand within your market, partnering with the Marketing, Product, and Finance leadership teams to execute initiatives related to Growth.


The Job

• Build and lead a team to scale and execute high-impact programs to grow fast within the regional market.
• Work closely with the executive team, leading the market strategy and creating and executing initiatives to meet KPI expectations.
• Motivate and leverage existing and new staff to continually up-level their results, expectations, and stretch for increasingly higher levels of impact across all core operational metrics
• Work closely in a matrixed environment with local operations, marketing, strategy, analytics, product, design, engineering, finance, and other senior leadership to set clear objectives.

Requirements

• 5+ years of deep, hands-on management of functions that included combinations of the following: operations, business analytics, marketing, customer loyalty and retention, and project management.
• . Prior experience in a high growth startup.
• Unparalleled business judgment and critical thinking skills with the ability to use data to quickly establish highest value priorities and develop a strategy to pursue them.
• Quantitative data analysis, deep actionable insights, modeling, and advanced test plan design and analysis experience.
• High energy and motivational leadership is driven by personal influence and example with direct staff, peers, and senior leaders across all company functions.
• Experience working closely and communicating effectively with internal and external stakeholders in an ever-changing, rapid growth environment with tight deadlines.
• Strong experience managing multi-disciplinary teams
• Ability to work collaboratively and cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment.
• Fluent in English (speaking and writing).
• Ability and comfort in working in the ambiguity of a high-growth company.
• Able to travel when necessary.
