BrewBike exists to empower young people

BrewBike started when Northwestern undergrad Lucas Phillips faced a problem. Like 62% of Americans, Lucas drinks coffee every day. But each morning, Lucas faced a daunting choice. Grab a cup of undrinkable coffee from the campus cafeteria or walk 15 minutes off-campus to get a quality brew. Like any good entrepreneur, Lucas solved his own problem by building BrewBike, which serves students high-quality coffee in incredibly convenient locations with a cycle time four times faster than Starbucks. BrewBike has been a smash hit at Northwestern. In just over a year and a half, it's gone from an idea to over $100,000 in revenue. More than that, though, BrewBike has provided an invaluable experience for its management team by giving them experience with running a real-world business. We want to franchise the BrewBike model to campuses around the country, serving students quality convenient coffee on the go, and helping young leaders get money, experience, and skills.
