Senior Android developer

Responsibilities

1. Design and build advanced, secure, fault tolerant and highly performant applications for the Android platform
2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features
3. Work with outside data sources and APIs
4. Create a technical specification document from a product requirement document or wireframes.
5. Write clean, reusable and extendable code using Kotlin
6. Unit-test code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliability
7. Work on bug fixing and improving application performance
8. Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency

Technical requirements

1. BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent
2. Excellent problem solving, strong CS fundamentals like OOPS, MVP, algorithms
3. 6-8 years of work experience in Android app development preferably using Kotlin
4. Have published a few Android apps to the Play store
5. Experience with remote data via REST and JSON, Websockets
6. Working knowledge of the general mobile landscape, architectures, trends, and emerging technologies
7. Experience with offline storage, multi-threading, performance tuning, and graphs etc.
8. Solid understanding of the software development life cycle like Agile
9. A knack for benchmarking and optimization.
10. Familiarity with crashlytics, mixpanel or similar analytics tools.
11. Familiarity with A/B testing methodology.
