The Role

Bon Harvest is looking to hire a Market Development Inter to be the main driver of growth in one of our targeted growth regions. Working closely with Bon Harvest's founding team, the Market Development Intern will be responsible for growing the brand and business in their assigned location. This role is best defined as an all encompassing sales, business development, partnerships, and marketing position.

Running the market will be a lot like running your own company. You'll be responsible for its growth in all areas of the market -- including sales, partnerships, and expansion -- executing on Bon Harvest's overall growth strategy. You will need to be comfortable with multi tasking and dealing with multiple moving pieces, and will have to be comfortable being the main point of contact for customers and prospects in your area.

Responsibilities:

  • Make impactful, creative decisions that grow Bon Harvest's area revenue.
  • Uncover, build, and develop a pipeline of potential farm and restaurant customers in your market/region...then close them!
  • Be an empathetic, savy, and trusted extension of our brand; build relationships with farms and restaurants that endear your customers to the Bon Harvest brand and mission.
  • Attract and close "complimentary" partnerships with strategic, local food industry players in an effort to grow our brand presence.
  • Help develop and scale our processes and prioritize initiatives, to drive growth and efficiency across our growing business.
  • Constantly inform Bon Harvest's product, marketing, and sales teams with what you're learning from your prospects and customers; your observations and input will guide our product development and business expansion.

Requirements:

  • Ideally you already have a solid understanding of AND connections to your local farming and restaurant landscape; if you don't, then you have a strong personal desire to do so.
  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent experience.
  • 1+ years of experience in a management, business development, or operational role.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and to work in a fast-paced environment; bounce from a sales call, to an internal marketing strategy call, and right back into a sales call, seamlessly.
  • Attention to detail, balanced with the ability to execute quickly.
  • A strong appetite for trying new things and thinking outside of the box; an ability to move on quickly from failures.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. Bon Harvest welcomes exceptional candidates from all backgrounds; our customer and partner base is incredibly diverse, and so is our team. We want well-rounded, fun, and empathetic team players who are inherently passionate about food.
