Bon Harvest's vision is preventing the waste of food products in local communities by connecting merchants with consumers. Forty percent of all food produced in the United States is wasted. This represents $165 - $200 billion dollars in wasted food each year. Were going to create an online farmers market to reduce food waste.

The marketplace makes it easy for merchants and consumers to buy and sell food. Bon Harvest will have a focus on Inglorious food, which is also known as ugly food, farmers will have straight access to sell there food and have much less waste.

You will be part of this energetic startup that will be growing from one milestone to the next. You will be working from the heart of the AgTech industry at co-working space, AgTech X. You need to have passion for what you do, and a lot of passion for food. Must be a creative problem-solver, remain calm under stressful situations, and understand the big picture and company goals as well as the finer details in the trenches


IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL:


• Demonstrate a strong bias for action by identifying problems and opportunities and working proactively to solve them, as well as manage complex timelines and dependencies
• Be a hungry individual who comes to the table with intellectual curiosity and ideas
• Write Creatively, generate ideas & campaigns- Its your job to catch the attention of busy people- how will you do it? Can you write an email that they will choose to read? Can you leave a lasting impression over the phone?
• You will be talking and speaking with Farmers, wholesalers, charities, & chefs. Do you have it in you to wear different hats at different times?
• Act as a strong representative of Bon Harvest, and believe in our vision and in what were doing in a variety of contexts. Including potential industry partners, trade shows, conferences, and charities.
• Go the extra mile with buyers and sellers on onboarding them to the platform. While ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction through an excellent sales service.
• Great communication skills both internally and externally. You are punctual and always answer emails and calls within 12 hours.
• Remarkably strategic, driven, and very entrepreneurial.
• Super independent and self-sufficient. You need little management, only coaching and mentorship.
• You breathe a startup personality: smart, ethical, friendly, hard working and proactive (no exceptions).
• Desire to work in New York City.
• Become an expert on the industry, attend events regularly, and have a systematic approach to Identifying market trends

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

• BA/BS from a leading college or university
• Online marketing experience: you've helped shape and execute marketing strategies online
• Curious: you like looking for new insight and knowledge to inform your work
• Judgment: You smartly separate what must be done well now, and what can be improved later
• Communicate: You listen well, instead of reacting fast, so you can better understand
• Innovate: You challenge prevailing assumptions when warranted, and suggest better approaches
• Courage: You say what you think even if it is controversial
• Collaborative: you're a team player open to giving and receiving feedback and working constructively with others
• 1-3 years professional experience in a marketing, business development or community-facing role
• Adaptable and able to work in a changing environment.
• You suddenly realize it’s not a job anymore its your life and passion
• Food studies background or Farming background is a major plus
