Finance: Accounts

We're looking for a detail-oriented accounting professional that's interested in joining a fast paced technology company operating in the surf industry?

We're searching for the right canditate to help evolve our financial operations to meet our growth requirements. The position is open to both a part-time, or full time canditate, depending on their experience.

// Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• You will be responsible for Accounts Receivables for our ecommerce marketplace; validation and research of both debit and credit balances, with the ability to correct as needed; daily balancing and month-end journal entries. Work with credit card companies and third-party financing companies to resolve customer disputes and work with companies on the collection process of past due accounts.
• Respond to suppliers regarding billing inquiries and credit card issues. Document supplier pricing concerns and help optimize processes to automate manual functions.
• Maintain prompt, efficient and accurate data entry to ensure supplier issues are solved timely and exhibit superior customer service.
• Ensure compliance with statutory law and financial regulations.
• Reconcile COGS with supplier invoice management.
• Help us scale key parts of our processes, and enter weekly invoices into XERO.
• Work with the CEO to track the performance of strategic initiatives, and assist in the development of strategies that work to minimise risk.
• Prepare and manage shipping claims and credits online and include notes to our order system.
• Reconcile monthly sales tax entries and payments.
• Prepare, make, and record weekly bank deposits, upload file to order system and reconciliation.

// Additional responsabilities, for more experienced canditates:

• Develop, monitor, and manage budgets and cash flow forecasts, and predict future financial trends.
• Design, produce, and help report to the board on the financial performance and position of the company.
• Develop an improvement plan for our financal functions to help us continue to scale the company. Working with our software engineers to automate processes.
• Plan and hire new team members to built out our finance team.
• Identify profit improvement opportunities for the business and provide recommendations to the CEO and executive team about how the company and future business decisions might be impacted.

// What Do You Need?

• Associate Degree in an accounting related field or equivalent work experience.
• 3+ years’ experience in accounting, Preferred
• Knowledge of book keeping, credit card processing and ecommerce financial processes.
