Sr. JS Software Engineer, Full Stack

Engineering is at the heart of everything we do at Blossom. We're looking for a Senior JS Software Engineer with a strong sense for architecture and design who loves building products using bleeding edge tech.

You must be a do-er, and you must be able to rapidly ship functional code to production that delivers on the product promise. You should be quality obsessed - the kind of engineer who takes deep personal ownership over their work product.

You must have demonstrable experience mentoring other engineers, including facilitating collaborative design discussion and performing code reviews that genuinely elevate the level of code quality. Ideally, you've worked at early stage startups in the past and you thrive in a fast-moving, self-directed environment where you have wide latitude to directly improve the product and tooling on a daily basis.

You should have experience contributing to or at least deep understanding of various open-source third party libraries and be able to communicate on both a high-level and deep technical level about how you used those libraries, and a specific example of an issue and how you contributed a fix.

Must have:

• JS (obviously)
• Extensive experience with node.js
• HTML5, CSS3, CSS pre-processor (SCSS or LESS)
• Angular, React, or similar modern framework
• Basic tooling such as git, npm, etc.
• Experience with both SQL and non-SQL data stores
• Expert understanding of HTTP
• Experience designing and building REST APIs
• Demonstrable experience building web apps using the above

Nice to have:

• Experience designing & building REST APIs
• Message broker architecture (AMQP or similar)
• Experience with devops & related tooling
• Solidity experience or desire to learn
• Excited about blockchain/cryptocurrency
• Passionate about Islamic finance and/or sustainable development
