Job Description

Blockwell is seeking a public relations intern to join our team. In this role, you will be working closely with the PR manager and assisting with the writing of media releases, scheduling PR events, conducting research, and much more. You will also be working closely with other team members to determine their PR needs.

To be successful in this role, you must be a confident public speaker and have basic skills in copywriting and social media marketing. Ultimately, we are looking for an outstanding PR intern that should be able to build relationships with the media and suppliers of marketing material, while constantly looking for ways to boost Blockwell's corporate image.

The duration of the internship is 3 months. It is an evaluative unpaid internship with the possibility of return offers, depending on the company's needs.

Our goal is to invest in all our interns so they can one day become eminent thinkers in the sector.

Responsibilities

• Supporting the PR team in implementing our PR strategy.
• Creating engaging content for media releases, social media platforms, and newsletters.
• Updating and maintaining our social media pages.
• Building relationships with clients and potential clients, suppliers, and the media.
• Providing assistance to the PR team with the scheduling and organizing of events.
• Giving input on marketing initiatives and suggesting creative ways to improve Blockwell's public visibility and image.
• Conducting research on marketing initiatives of competitors.
• Monitoring of media coverage on events and media releases that were issued and creating press clippings.

*Requirements *

• Currently, a college student studying communications, journalism, or another media field.
• Excellent understanding of various social media platforms including Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and Instagram.
• Basic budget management skills to track spending on sponsorships, events, and marketing material.
• Good research and analytical skills.
• The ability to prioritize your workload and keep to important content deadlines.
• Knowledge of copywriting and editing.
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
• Authorized to work in the United States. Visa sponsorship is not available

*Compensation *

Internships come with deferred compensation and profit-sharing depending on your role. A permanent position will be made available for the right candidate as we scale.
