Security Engineer / Cryptographer

We are a VC-backed tech startup operating from Paris and New York on a journey to transform the internet software industry and make data privacy protection a reality in every software application in the world.

The founding team includes an MIT graduate, an entrepreneur who is founding his second startup after successful exit, computer science PhDs and Software Engineers. The company is currently onboarding its first clients: internet platforms in healthcare, LegalTech, hospitality. The mission 🎯

We believe that data privacy must be the number one priority without exceptions.

We are on a mission to build developer tools that will enable seamless integration of data encryption workflows and anonymity into any software application. We want that next generation software systems bring the highest level of data privacy protection for their users, by default.

To fulfill our mission we offer new building blocks (SDKs and APIs) to software developers allowing them to securely and privately capture and transfer sensitive user information without ever exposing it to any risk of misuse.

Role & missions – What you will do 🚀

In a typical work week you will:

• Participate in the design of blindnet products
• Ensure maximum security and data privacy of our product designs
• Analyze our source code, evaluate and suggest security improvements
• Work with our software engineers to ensure our implementations bring the highest security and data privacy standards to our products
• Test security of our software products

About you – Who you are 🦄

• You have a BSc or MSs in Cryptography, Computer science, or Engineering
• You are knowledgeable of cryptographic algorithms, protocols and libraries (e.g., Bouncy Castle)
• You have experience in designing security and encryption systems
• You understand source code of programming languages (Scala is a plus)

Good to have 🦾

• Experience in researching security threats in software systems
• Understanding of the Signal protocol
• Understanding of anonymity networks and onion routing (e.g., Tor)
• Knowledge of network security
• Experience in programming and implementation of cryptographic systems
