Bitome is a three-year-old, Boston-based life science instrument company commercializing compact and portable chemical analysis tools used in magnetic resonance spectroscopy. Bitome’s first product performs continuous metabolic monitoring in synthetic biology applications. Using microsystem technology compatible with scaled manufacturing processes, Bitome delivers a game-changing life science research tool that any customer can afford.

Bitome is hiring an embedded systems and electronics engineer experienced in implementing FPGAs and high- speed analog and digital circuits. Note: this position is in Shenzhen, China (Mandarin fluency is a plus).

You will be responsible for programming the world's smallest and smartest benchtop nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectrometer. If you’re interested in synthetic biology, quantum mechanics, lab automation, and very strong permanent magnets – then this is the position for you! As a core member of our team, you will help create “bulletproof” firmware for robust, versatile, and intuitive NMR-based sensors. You should be a self-starter with ability to work in a fast-paced dynamic environment.

This is a full-time position. We have operations in both Boston, MA and Shenzhen, China where this position will be based. Come join our team’s quest to democratize molecular spectroscopy and along the way we may just change the world.
