We are looking for an exceptional Chief of Staff to join our highly-skilled and passionate team in New York City. The ideal Chief of Staff serves as the right hand person and works very closely with the CEO, the CEO’s Executive Assistant, and the leadership team.
The Chief of Staff enables the CEO to be in more places at once both figuratively and literally, and enables their CEO to execute on more critical projects. This is a generalist role, yet having specific strengths can create clear advantages if specific needs of the organization require exploration, analysis, and execution. The CoS is designed to be flexible in responsibilities and is often directed at solving a number of problems that the CEO would also look to solve if they could at the same time. The role is designed to be ephemeral (as is customary for this position across industries) and is meant to last 12 -18 months at which point the CoS would rotate out of the role.

Responsibilities of CEO's Chief of Staff at Bison Trails
Be an advisor and thought partner to the CEO and be able to stand-in during meetings, take key decisions, solicit input and speak on behalf of the CEO.
Work with the CEO to hold them accountable for their commitments and the commitments of other leaders.
Gather insights from the internal and external stakeholders to understand and define what are the highest priority problems facing the company and help solve them.
Ensure the CEO is focused on and working on the highest priority problem at the company and taking anything else off their plate.
Organize, solicit, facilitate and evolve (alongside EA) weekly leadership meetings to encourage productive dialogue and discussion.
Plan and prepare “All Hands” decks including all content and contributions from other leaders.
Work with the leadership team to produce “Board Decks” for quarterly board meetings. Lead follow ups and drive resolutions that arise from Board discussions.
Support in strategy execution by creating agendas, materials and logistics for strategic planning of quarterly offsites, meeting regularly with team leads to develop and track progress against goals, and flagging projects or goals requiring resources and attention.
Alongside the EA, Manage CEOs internal and external leadership commitments and communications.
Accompany the CEO at industry and professional functions ensuring they are maintaining commitments and making the most out of each occasion.
Work with the CEO to define, design, and implement new organizational functions and departments, acting as a department of one until deciding whether to expand.
Work with the CEO to define, design, and implement new cross-functional initiatives.
Work with the CEO to gather and produce financial reports, quarterly reports, earning reports, projections, business models, and case studies. Create innovative ways to help us track and report on digital asset revenue.
Identify and resolve issue gaps with actionable, data-guided recommendations. Create systems and processes that will avoid such problems in the future.
