The Investing Team is responsible for three key areas at Betterment:

* Portfolio management, including strategic asset allocation, fund selection, algorithmic tax strategies and risk management.
* Algorithmic financial advice models
* Partnerships with product, engineering and design teams to develop and implement new products and features.

The team is composed of quantitative finance experts who use mathematical and statistical tools to prototype, test and analyze models for use in the Betterment application. Additionally, the team is responsible for the education of our customers, which we do through writing white papers, blog posts and speaking engagements at conferences.
