The Content Strategist will define and guide Bazaarvoice’s content strategy and ensure it aligns tactics to goals and objectives. This role will plan, create, and maintain a library of high-value, data-driven, and search-engine-optimized content that meets the information needs of specific client segments in defined buying cycle stages. This person will work across the marketing team and broader organization to provide customized content for campaigns, eBooks, case studies, blogs, white papers, and field enablement material and will work closely with product marketing, demand generation, creative, PR, web, and social media teams to develop and deploy that content.

Attractive candidates will bring strong writing skills and foundational knowledge of B-to-B marketing practices.


## What you'll be doing:

- Facilitate strategy around the content asset mix that will be created for multichannel programs and campaigns in partnership with product marketing, demand gen, and reputation marketing teams
- Create consensus between management, marketing, product, and field teams on key themes and assets required to meet business goals
- Implement framework to ensure all campaign plans include content needs in terms of type (eBook, video, presentation, etc.), target audience (buying cycle stage, persona, vertical, etc.), products and solutions it supports and key messages
- Manage editorial calendar in partnership with other marketing functions
- Manage contract copywriters, including budget, payment, project oversight, and review cycles
- Writing for all content types, including blog, ebook, whitepapers, etc.
- Influence and mobilize resources effectively, including designers, subject-matter experts, product marketing managers and market intelligence to set content strategy
- Perform annual content audits and oversee ongoing maintenance of content library
- Perform gap analysis on how content inventory maps to internal and external audiences and their specific requirements
- Oversee content measurement and KPIs, including the design and operation of relevant dashboards, reports and analyses
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and changes in UI/UX, SEO, and content marketing
- Support local country marketing teams to implement content initiatives
- Ensure that brand messaging, Bazaarvoice brand voice, and audience experience is consistent across all deliverables


## What you need (essential criteria):

- Superior written and verbal communications skills
- Strong project management skills
- Strong editing skills
- Basic understanding of content management systems, SEO and keyword research and web analytics tools (For example: Trello, Jira, Google Analytics)
- **Experience with B-to-B marketing and content marketing (e-commerce or SaaS experience preferred)**
- **3+ years of corporate communications or demand generation experience**
- **Bachelor’s degree required (communications, marketing or journalism degree preferred)**
