As Terminal’s Business Development Director, you will own client acquisition including sourcing, engaging, negotiating and closing new business. You will need to become a trusted resource for clients as they think through their organizational growth strategy. You will play a key role in increasing awareness and driving thought leadership in the market by attending events and industry conferences. This is an exciting opportunity to join an early team to help leading technology companies to launch and scale technical teams around the world. What You'll Do
* Engage and consult with start-up and high-growth technology company executives to present the Terminal solution for remote teams and distributed talent solutions
* Develop and execute a strategy for identifying and closing new sales opportunities to drive new business across multiple industry verticals
* Prioritize opportunities across East Coast markets: New York, Boston, Washington DC, and Chicago
* Understand a company’s engineering organizational needs and define creative solutions to help scale the engineering team with Terminal
* Own a robust pipeline and maintain CRM hygiene to create visibility and predictability
* Work cross-functionally with several teams including, Marketing to create and launch go-to-market initiatives, Customer Success and Talent teams to assess and qualify new business opportunities, and Legal to manage contract structuring and negotiations

Who You Are
* 8+ years of experience in sales or business development, corporate development, or management consulting
* Highly strategic and a proven track record driving internal stakeholders to a consensus on important issues with significant accountability
* Organized and methodical, with exceptional communication skills: written, verbal, and presentation skills
* Highly data-driven with strong analytical and negotiation skills
* Passionate about learning and building lasting relationships to help people solve complex challenges
* Understanding of the technical recruiting or HR space
* Familiar with the various software engineering roles and terminology like front-end, back-end, Python, JavaScript, and Node.js, etc.
* Experience working with remote teams with ability to travel, both domestic and international
* A startup mentality as a resourceful self-starter with clear bias for action and results
* Up to a week per month of travel is expected
