Four billion people do not have access to the internet. Astranis is going to change that. We are building the next generation of smaller, lower-cost telecommunications satellites to bring the world online.

We’re a well-funded team of over 60 world-class engineers that moves fast. We raised our Series A from Andreessen Horowitz and Y Combinator in 2017, launched our first satellite in 2018, secured our first client in 2019, and we’ll triple the satellite internet capacity of Alaska in 2020.

Role
- Manage the work flows, transactions, reporting, and record keeping aspects of our people function, including payroll, benefits, and compliance.
Provide expertise and guidance on employment practices, legal compliance, company policies, etc.
- Ensure HR operational excellence with accurate, timely, and robust information, process, and project management practices.
- Champion and role model our culture, values, and mission, finding ways to continually strengthen them at the company overall.
- Scale professional development programs to help our employees build their skill sets, driving employee retention and satisfaction.
- Manage and expand our diversity and inclusion initiative.
- Manage the full lifecycle of an employee from developing new hire onboarding and offboarding processes.

Requirements
- 5+ years working in HR/People Operations
- Experience working in fast paced, high growth, dynamic companies
- Extremely organized and detail-oriented; you love bringing order out of chaos
- Deeply caring with strong interpersonal skills; helping others make you smile
- Energized by finding opportunities to improve processes through technology and design
- Knowledgeable in CA and US HR-related policies and law, and fluent in HR systems, tools and applications
- Entrepreneurial drive; we are a small start-up that requires the ability to roll up your sleeves and jump in
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
- US Citizenship or Green Card
