This is an opportunity to join a growing team and make a substantial impact at ARTA. We are developing new interface applications for each of our primary customer groups—API clients, individual shippers, logistics partners, and internal teammates. You’ll be a critical part of idea generation, design, prototyping, planning, and execution.

We take great care in choosing tools that provide productive, reliable, and fast user and developer experiences. On the backend, our ever-evolving software stack at ARTA consists of a few, focused Python and Elixir API services running on AWS and deployed via Docker + Kubernetes. On the front-end, our UI apps make use of Phoenix LiveView, React, Typescript, Redux and internal component libraries and communicate over WebSockets to deliver quick real time user experiences while preserving a productive development environment.

What You’ll Do:

• Collaborate with product and design from the earliest stage of feature explorations
• Create innovative real time user experiences for our customers
• Develop lean and efficient workflow tools for our operations teams
• Participate in design discussions and code reviews with your teammates and collaborators
• Proactively identify opportunities to enhance developer productivity

Who You Are:

• You have built interfaces with reactive JavaScript frameworks like React, Vuejs or Svelte
• You have some prior knowledge of or an interest to learn the Elixir Phoenix LiveView programming model
• You have an expert-level ability to write clean, idiomatic CSS and have worked with css-in-js component systems
• You have a great familiarity with build tools, pre-processors and package managers
• You have worked in large codebases and can deliver testable, re-factorable, and scalable frontend systems
• You have a solid foundation in building web applications that consume APIs and a firm understanding of web architecture concepts like HTTP request/response, local and session storage, cache, cookies, CORS, and WebSockets
• You are able to establish scope of assigned tasks, execute on them, and independently communicate status updates
• You enjoy collaborative code reviews and can provide thoughtful, constructive feedback to peers
• You believe that teams succeed and fail together and take responsibility for ensuring the team’s success
• You’re confident in taking ownership of projects from start to finish and enjoy the process
