Your Role

• Work on one of Brisbane’s highest-traffic applications
• Responsible for system availability, efficiency and reliability
• Uphold our platform SLA commitments
• Respond effectively to alerts and add value to the whole alerting toolchain (e.g. improving playbooks)
• Manage incident reports and assess risk
• Support operational systems
• Collaborate with people with diverse backgrounds and needs
• Teach us how to improve the availability of our system
• Available for on-call duty

To be successful you will demonstrate proven experience in

• Designing resilient platforms at scale
• Monitoring tools and logging (Elasticsearch preferred)
• AWS
• Linux
• Leverage tooling and automation
• Responding to outages and troubleshooting
• Running/managing workloads on Kubernetes
• Reducing organizational silos
• Network security (e.g. firewalls, access control)

Other nice-to-have experience qualifications

• Experience in implementing and managing service level indicators
• Familiarity with cloud services other than AWS
• Cassandra
• Software engineering
• Background or interest in cybersecurity
