The Sr Manager/Director of Expansion Strategy will lead the charge in helping Alto scale from 2 markets today to over 50 markets in 36 months. You will be responsible for identifying the top markets for us to enter, building the business case including the market opportunity, competitive and stakeholder landscape, and ultimately helping defining the GTM playbook. As we build out the new Expansion function, you will play a critical role in structuring the function and making key hires. You will report to the Head of Business Operations. 


* Serve as the leader of our new market expansion. Evaluate new market opportunities, and build business cases including opportunity sizing, market and competitive strategy, functional requirements and execution timeline to support recommendations and prioritize these opportunities. 
* Co-own our expansion and market launch/GTM playbook and be relentless about improving our tactics and processes to make our expansion efforts more successful, predictable and scalable over time.
* Partner cross-functionally across the company to enable successful and timely market entry (Finance, Product, Legal, Operations, People, Sales/Growth, etc.)
* Create an effective communication cascade within the business and deliver business proposals and presentations to all stakeholders, including the executive team.
* Build a team of analysts and strategists to evaluate new market opportunities and develop a GTM strategy along with the marketing and sales teams. 

You are an ideal candidate if you:

* 6+ years of experience in a combination of strategy and operations roles (strategy consulting, business operations, venture capital/private equity, or equivalent fields). Prior successful experience developing GTM strategy. 
* Healthcare experience is required. Ideally, some experience in a startup or other fast-changing environment and in consumer markets. 
* Strong people management experience, high EQ, and proven ability to deliver outstanding results through others in a timely manner using a strong sense of focus, organization, and meticulous attention to detail.
* Build and manage strong relationships with their team, colleagues across many different functions, and external partners.
* Have strong business judgment and analytical skills, and can use data to prioritize, drive strategic discussion, and ultimately deliver real outcomes. Ability to communicate and listen effectively with great written, verbal and presentation skills. 
* Are extremely resourceful and entrepreneurial. Enjoy doing whatever it takes to break through unexpected barriers and obstacles, and balance detail-orientation with the ability to move fast.
* B.A/B.S, MBA is a plus.
