In this role, we’re looking for an individual who has extensive experience with complex practices and issues related directly to Pharmacy. The ideal candidate should have a strong set of management principles, a history of successful project management, and a deep understanding of implementing training best practices to scale.

This role is based in San Francisco, CA.

 The Director of Pharmacy at Alto will be able to:

* Train and mentor team, as well as constructive evaluation
* Oversee initiatives that are national in scope
* Facilitate and guide teams to a resolution around issues that are complex and may have considerable impact to the business
* Act as a subject matter expert - explain complex processes related to areas of responsibility, including:

**        Pharmacy Compliance at Fulfillment Centers 
**        Process standardization across Fulfillment Centers
**        Quality systems implementation 
**        Data check improvements (to scale - possible remote or telepharmacy model)

* Demonstrate strong analytical skills - accurately collect and analyze data to identify issues, offer recommendations along with consequences and work to mitigate risks
* Facilitate collaboration and understanding internally at Fulfillment Centers, and amongst stakeholders across teams

Responsibilities

You will be accountable for:

* Maintaining and project managing new accreditations as we scale Fulfillment Centers

**        Maintain VIPPS and URAC Specialty
**        Achieve URAC Mail accreditation and ACHC accreditation 

* Current Fulfillment Center contracts and licenses only as related to expansion
* REMS implementation
* PSAO relationships + MAC appeals process
* Continuing education initiatives for team

You will be directly responsible for:

* Coaching, Development, and Leveling of PICs and their staff pharmacist reports
* Compliance for Fulfillment Centers
* Policy creation, iteration (with team), and implementation related to best pharmacy practices
* Partnering with Fulfillment Center teams to provide product, operations, and growth (including Biz Dev) initiative feedback
* Implementing Alto Savings card for cash medications below U&C.

Requirements

* State Board of Pharmacy license and Pharm. D. required, MBA preferred
* 5+ years experience working in a retail pharmacy, with progressive managerial responsibility
* Experience scaling pharmacies across state lines
* Familiarity with Fulfillment Center compliance laws state by state
* Experience managing a market of Pharmacists in Charge
