Mechanical Engineer at Renewable Energy Startup

Position and Our Company

Our team is looking to hire an experienced engineer to work on the design, automation, and installation of several multi-disciplinary engineering projects. Project Management experience is essential for this role.

ALP Technologies is a small engineering renewable energy start-up that was awarded several research and development grants for our innovative technologies. Our company is designing, prototyping, and testing a state-of- the-art li-ion battery storage system as well as a biomass Combined Heat and Power (CHP) electricity generator system.

Qualifications

Mechanical engineering background. Keen interest in Electronics and Mechanical design, and 2+ years of experience in a relevant industry.

Knowledge:

1. Good electrical aptitude and knowledge
2. Knowledge of mechanical equipment
3. Cross functional engineering knowledge
4. Proficient in 3D CAD modelling
5. Hands on engineering experience
6. Understanding of DFM
7. Knowledge of microcontrollers and control systems
8. Programming language: C or related software (desirable)
9. Knowledge of basic electronics and IoT systems (desirable)
10. Proven Project Management experience
11. Experience in Agile and Scrum Management (desirable)
