With a fast year-over-year growth, managing internal IT and security is a challenge all on its own. As Algolia grows in the US, EMEA and APAC (SF, Paris, NY, Atlanta, London, Tokyo), we’re looking for a highly motivated IT Systems Engineer Manager to maintain our velocity, scale and maintain our internal IT systems, and manage a diverse environment, which includes macOS, Windows, Linux and all sorts of mobile devices.

As a manager of the global IT team, you’ll work on defining and executing the global IT strategy, impacting all employees of the company. You’ll also continue scaling the IT team which is located in Paris and San Francisco.

Members of your team will actively collaborate with the Security and Real Estate & Workplace teams in our offices around the world, focusing on a great employee experience.

Together we'll continue to create a supportive environment for all Algolia employees. You'll be given a lot of freedom and responsibility in choosing, evaluating, deploying and maintaining various systems to support our IT operations at Algolia.

* Manage the global IT teams
* Work on various projects within the team (opening new offices, manage projects such as new solution deployments, always stay up to date to suggest ways to improve and processes and overall End User experience)
* Support, advise and help the team members in all offices, keeping security in mind
* Support remote offices (occasional travel)
* Inventory and maintain IT asset data (serial numbers, software keys, locations, etc.)
* Manage and deploy new devices configurations (laptops, phones) for the Paris office (Mosyle, Chef, Intune)
* Assist in the management of hosted applications (Google Apps, Okta, Azure, etc...)
* Provide videoconferencing and live event support (Zoom)
* Maintain and support our network infrastructure (Unifi, Ubiquity)

* Authorisation to work in the United States
* 4+ years of technical support experience
* 4+ years managing IT environment
* Strong understanding of corporate IT environment
* Strong understanding of security best practices in the enterprise environment
* Excellent communication and customer service skills
* Ability to self-prioritize tasks
* A good understanding of networking
* Ability to learn fast
* Flexibility, adaptability and initiative
