SeatAssignMate is seeking to fill AWS Cloud Engineer / Administrator positions for the operations, maintenance, and refinement of SeatAssignMate’s AWS Cloud environment, execution support for applications and services which rely on cloud computing and continuous improvement of SAM’s IT infrastructure. The candidate will support our clients in their cloud operations to enhance, optimize, and maintain their computing capabilities across their technical landscape. The Cloud Administrator must have expertise with Amazon Web Services (AWS).

Key Responsibilities

The AWS Cloud Engineer is responsible for the development, maintenance and deployment of SeatAssignMates cloud infrastructure that includes network, database, security and cloud services and products.

They support multiple systems or applications of high complexity (complexity defined by size, technology used and system feeds and interfaces) with multiple concurrent users, ensuring control, integrity and accessibility.

They act as the technical liaisons between operations teams, Engineers and Architects providing critical operational insight to upcoming implementations and strategies, including validation of ongoing solutions supportability.

They are Subject Matter Experts capable of articulating expert solutions through written or verbal methods.

Utilize AWS native portals and tools to provide operations and migration support

Assist with upgrading, installing, and configure monitoring solution for AWS for Windows and Linux servers

Interprets designs and requirements to develop systems for test and deployment.

Create test plans, communication, training and support material require to deploy systems.

Executes deployment and test plans to deliver products and services.

Maintain images/scripts

Assisting with reporting on current infrastructure status, and planning for future usage

Required Qualifications

A minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, electronics engineering or other engineering or technical discipline is required. (8 years of additional relevant experience may be substituted for education)

Is able to prioritize work and identify high risk critical problems

Has extensive knowledge of a wide variety of systems and networks to include high volume/high availability systems

Proficiency in working as part of a collaborative, cross-functional, modern engineering team.

Proficiency in infrastructure, network, database or security troubleshooting and remediation; experience with at least one other.

Proficiency in installing and upgrading applications or databases and performing system maintenance.

Proficiency in monitoring the operational status and performance of systems, networks or databases.

Proficiency in configuring and tuning of systems, networks or databases.

Demonstratable skill in AWS Networking. Proven skillset in latest AWS networking services and ability to create advanced routing and interconnectivity in a multi account strategy.

Demonstratable skills in AWS Security, including incident response framework, shared security model, and architecture best practices for reducing attack surface.

Demonstrable skillset in scripting languages, e.g. Bash, PowerShell

Demonstrable skillset in programming languages, preferably JavaScript or Python.

Experience working with AWS SDK for automating management of AWS infrastructure.

Preferred Qualifications

One or more Microsoft or Amazon cloud certifications

ITIL certification or experience with ITIL

Experience with Agile and DevOps model

Experience with at least one configuration technology including: Docker, Kubernetes, etc.

A minimum of 2 years of relevant hands-on experience cloud experience in administering Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Microsoft Azure

Experience implementing, migrating, managing, and operating systems/applications in an enterprise cloud computing environment

Experience writing technical documentation, especially in relation to AWS and Azure Cloud architecture

Experience with network and/or systems administration in Linux/Unix and/or Windows environments
