The Quality Assurance Analyst writes and implements unit, performance, functional, and regression testing for development projects to ensure quality and timeliness goals are met or exceeded. The QA professional works in a highly collaborative, fast paced environment with a focus on continuous improvement of systems, processes, and skills. This role reports directly to a Business Systems Analyst Manager and partners closely with Business System Analysts, Developers, business units (internal customers), and Software Quality Assurance Analysts. We are looking for recent graduates in Computer Science.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Writes and implements functional and regression testing for development projects and validates test results against expected results to ensure that quality and timeliness requirements are met.
• Documents, prioritizes, and escalates identified issues to ensure a high quality product is delivered to the Software Quality Assurance team.
• Engages with Business System Analysts, business units, and Developers to understand project requirements, scope, and deliverables.
• Assists the BSAs with functional and technical specification review.
• Works with Developers to identify project progress and areas ready for testing.
• Engages with internal business units (through demonstrations, screen shots, discussions) to ensure requirements are being met while development is still in progress.
• Works with BSAs and Developers to relay/resolve any identified gaps between implementation, project requirements, and business needs.
• Provides technical guidance and expertise to IT team members and/or business units.
• Provides testing and project updates to management.
• Maintains strong expertise and knowledge of current and emerging technologies, techniques, tools, and proprietary in-house applications.
• Understand applicable company policies, procedures and other job-specific instructive documents and materials.
• Conduct business and perform job duties in a manner consistent with the requirements set forth in all company policies, procedures and other directives, and in compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
• Complete all compliance training assigned to them to understand the key provisions of law, regulation and internal policies and procedures applicable to their job duties, as well as the impact of non-compliance on the company’s reputation and success.
• Raise concerns about any practice(s) believed to be a violation of, or inconsistent with, company policies, procedures or other directives, or in violation of legal or regulatory requirements.
• Monitor processes and procedures to ensure safety and compliance.
