General Summary
The Sales Development Representative is expected to lead inbound and outbound lead generation and qualification efforts, while simultaneously learning the ins and outs of the P2P Automation Industry, the Accrualify Platform, product demos, contract negotiations, and all other aspects of the sales cycle in preparation for a promotion to Account Executive. This position requires a general understanding of accounting principles gained through attainment of a 4-year Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related business field from a nationally accredited educational institution. In an environment of reduced supervision, the SDR exercises independent discretion and judgment in applying sourcing strategies, A/B tests, process improvements, and the ability to sell to a group of expert accounting users.


Knowledge/Skills
1. Effective written and verbal communication skills are necessary to accurately and articulately solve prospect’s pain points surrounding manual accounting processes.
2. Tech-Savvy skills (Google Suite, multiple sales software tools, Accrualify Platform) are required.
3. General knowledge of accounting and finance usually acquired through related work experience or schooling is required.
4. Strong listening skills required
5. Strong interpersonal and partnering skills to develop working relationships with partners across operating business and support functions.
6. Demonstrated ability to drive change and improve processes.
7. Self motivator and ambition is highly desirable.

Essential Functions and Duties:
Cold calling / emailing
Generating email campaigns, analyzing the success of those email campaigns, and making adjustments to increase positive response rates. This requires both left and right brain thinking.
Taking meeting notes during every sales call
Gathering and presenting information about prospects
Assist Account Exec in preparing for demos
Advise on establishing and improving sales processes
Collaborate with Marketing Department
Participate in the deployment and customization of the Accrualify platform
Participate in further development of the Accrualify software platform.
After training, speak confidently and knowledgeably about P2P Automation, Accrualify, and the benefits of automating.

Qualifications
B.S. in Business Administration, Economics, Accounting, or Finance.
1-2 + years of sales or professional work experience
Moderate to advanced Excel skills
Quantitative and general problem solving skills for business problems
Strong interpersonal and team working skills
Good communication skills (written and verbal)
Ability to learn quickly and resourcefully
High degree of motivation, flexibility and creativity
Genuine desire to work hard and progress rapidly in the startup/ software sales profession
Positive attitude and strong willingness to learn from mentors and peers
Ability to travel (typically ~5% or less but may be higher depending on assignments)
Ability to stay focused and motivated in high-stress situations
Openness to new challenges and pushing yourself outside of your comfort zone
