Integration Engineer

Accrualify is seeking an Integration Engineer for our San Mateo, CA location. As the Integration Engineer, you will be working with a global, fast-paced team to continuously improve integrations with existing partners and ERP systems, as well as implement new integrations via partner APIs into the existing Accrualify platform. You will be responsible for scoping new integration requirements and informing the rest of the engineering and product teams of architectural limitations and work-arounds. You should be a quick-learner, self-starter able to work in a fast-paced environment. You love problem solving, overcoming challenges, and producing the best quality work you can for a cutting-edge product.


Key Responsibilities:

• Architect, design and develop functions for back-end in-house systems and integrations with 3rd party applications and APIs
• Estimate effort and time for development
• Participate in code review and testing after development
• Work with integration partner contacts to understand the abilities and limitations of their APIs, as well as to troubleshoot and find solutions to any issues
• Maintain existing functions and assist with troubleshooting tickets and ad hoc requests
• Deliver clear and complete technical specifications documents
• Understand EDI specifications and experience with implementing EDI systems or integration to EDI systems
• Understand Object-Oriented Design/Programming and software design patterns
• Exceed existing system limitations and develop solutions for scalability, performance and reliability


Required Education and/or Experience:

• BA/BS in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Human-Computer Interaction, or similar
• 2+ years of professional, hands-on software development experience working with integrating outside applications
• Excellent technical architecture, design and coding skills in Java, Python, Javascript
• Experience with full SDLC from design to deployment, and agile development process
• Expertise in defining and documenting technical specifications and requirements
• Possess strong problem-solving mentality and creatively find ways to solve problems
• Ability to mentor junior developers to maintain architectural vision and code quality
• Ability to multitask and work in nimble, fast-paced development environment
• Ability to work in a team as well as independently and meet aggressive goals
• Self-starter, proactively looking for innovative solutions
• Ability to learn quickly and autonomously


Nice to Have But Not Required:

• Experience with integration to ERP systems such as NetSuite, Oracle, SAP, Intacct and other similar systems
• Understand ERP modules such as Finance & Accounting, Purchasing, Inventory, etc.
