Butterfly is looking for ambitious Interns to join the Butterfly team in New York City. This internship will provide exposure into many facets of working for a high growth tech start-up.
As a Product Design Intern you will join a team of like-minded, mission-driven designers bringing more affordable medical imaging to the world - by creating experiences and brand touchpoints that are simple, human, and bold.
We are looking for recent graduates or undergraduates who would join us for two to three months. This internship will be to work with our Product Design team and will be focusing on creating one-of-a-kind, beautiful, and functional digital products that will empower others to make life-saving decisions.
As part of our team, your core responsibilities will be:
Work closely with a Product Design mentor to create new innovative features for a Butterfly product.
Create concepts, design flows, high-fidelity designs, and prototypes. Learn about and apply the Butterfly design system.
Meet our users! Participate in user research sessions and integrate insights into your designs.
Collaborate and build cross functional relationships with product, engineering, and clinical teams
Participate in critiques with the broader design team and incorporate feedback into your work.
Take a deep dive in learning about the medical industry and ultrasound.
Solid UX skills and experience designing for mobile and web products
Proficiency in Sketch, Figma, or equivalent design software
Passion for design systems, hierarchy, and interaction behaviors
Ability to think out of the box and develop concepts informed by user research
Detail oriented with a passion for visual design
Available for a full-time 3-month internship (NYC)
Superior communication (written and verbal English) and organizational skills.
Self-starters who are results oriented, resourceful, analytical, innovative, intellectually curious and who take initiative and risks.
Demonstrate strong ability to embrace and adapt to change, take initiative, showcase curiosity, and learn quickly in a fast-paced environment
