Python and Angular Developer with Basic AWS Knowledge

We're looking for a talented, enthusiastic Django/FastApi/AngularJS developer to join our team in Tokyo and help build the backend for CraftChat (https://www.craftchat.ai/) formerly Chatbook

Your role

You will take a lead position in building the backend services for Chatbook platform, including:

• Developing new REST APIs and design Models in Python.
• Maintaining and improving existing components of the Django/FastApi app.
• Profiling and improving REST API performance (latency, DB queries, etc)
• Working alongside with front-end and mobile devs to optimize API usage
• Writing tests (TDD), debugging and improving the code quality & stability.
• DevOps - deployment, Docker, Celery.
• Deep knowledge of AngularJS practices and commonly used modules based on extensive work experience
• Creating self-contained, reusable, and testable modules and components
• Creating custom, general use modules and components which extend the elements and modules of core AngularJS
• Experience with all levels of operation available to the front-end, such as from creating XHRs in vanilla JS to using a custom wrapper around $resource

Requirements

• 2+ years developing with Python & Django Angular
• PostgreSQL, SQLAlchemy, DB optimization.
• Git for version control
• Good verbal and written communication in English

Strong plus:

• AWS
• TypeScript, HTML5, CSS
• Experience in leadership position close to CTO
