The World's growing need for food can be sustainably met by shifting attitudes to the Western diet. I've devoted the last 6 years of my academic career to testing & understanding how different approaches to food production can meet this challenge. Highlights of my work include: Oxford thesis on combining food production & forest restoration via agroforestry, Developing a sustainable community garden prototype for Nicaragua as a Cornell undergrad now used nationally, co-founding Plastic Tides— a non-profit devoted to marine conservation using novel strategies, work as a visiting scholar at the MIT Media Lab’s CityFarm.
What I have learned is that by working collaboratively with farmers, students, governments, professors & NGOs it is possible, with an interdisciplinary approach, to solve today's most pressing problem: sustainably feeding the world. I launched a start-up, ANATO life to educate people about solutions to plastic pollution and regenerative agriculture via body care products
