In 1999 we bought the URL for a care packages company from a college student. I revamped the website, added an e-commerce solution, and added a customer service feature. We ended up in the WSJ, Money magazine and US News & World Report within months. I was hooked on entrepreneurship. We sold that business just before the 2001 internet crash and made a fair IRR. I was hooked on entrepreneurship, all the while growing a career in banking.
An impressive career accomplishment was achieving a $20M sales revenue year during my banking career. That year's result was based on a strong pipeline and even stronger relationships with new and existing clients.
My most valued accomplishment however was leaving the banking industry after 19 years and co-founding an EdTech startup. Driven by a deep passion for my volunteerism in education, I steeped myself in the early childhood space creating a strong effective product, changing the lives of young learners, their parents and their teachers.
