As a Lead Backend Engineer, you will be architecting and building our our data and infrastructure solutions from scratch. Writing high quality, scalable, testable code should come as second nature to you. Having an expert level understanding about the latest infrastructure services and technologies is imperative. The infrastructure decisions that are made will support our applications for many generations to come. You will be closely working with the application teams to build reliable full stack solutions providing world-class experiences in the home.

> BS Degree in Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
> 5 years professional experience
> Designing and developing high quality, scalable, testable backend solutions
> Experience working with AWS technologies (ie DynamoDB, Lambdas, Cognito, IAM) and Google Cloud Platform services (App Engine, PubSub, Cloud Functions, Bigtable)
> Experience to know the pros/cons of the latest design methodologies and technologies for backend services: Cloud, NoSQL, Streaming, GraphQL, Serverless
> Experience building out scalable infrastructure for services and data platforms including monitoriing, logging, and testing processes
> Experience working in a team environment and providing mentorship to other engineers
> Experience with developing backend for consumer electronic products
> Experience with front-end web development and libraries (ie HTML/CSS, React, Rails)
> Experience with DevOps technolgies (ie Docker, Vagrant, Chef, Puppet, CI)
> Experience with creating and maintaining a CI solution
> Understanding industry standard authentication and security practices
