I wrote a business plan and convinced the school to invest $10,000 to start a business of buying and assembling chip sets sold by the school's retail stores to the engineering...more students for their classes. And over a 5-year time period, this business earned back all of its investment money from the school, saved students over $90,000, and made $147,000 in profit. This business is still well managed and running to this date at Georgia Tech.
Programmed a company-wide, computer-security program. After researching and using Microsoft's MFC API's, I wrote a software that cross-checked and audited the hardware and...more software status of every client computer on the company's network with what is recorded on the inventory database to ensure hardware and software uniformity. Farmers Company used this software to monitor 2000+ computers. Designed a web-crawling tool to find broken links on this insurance company's big website.
VRMaverick is a Tech company formed by a group of experts in fields of missile guidance technologies, electronic warfare, DSP, and software engineering. Established in 2014,...more VRMaverick is in the business of integrating mobile & IoT devices, VR/AR, and drones into combat weapons. Our team is set out to put the most-current IoT & mobile technologies into products and apps that can assist and augment our human capabilities through VR/AR and bring us a peace-of-mind through surveillance and security
I am responsible for researching, collecting, and analyzing hundreds of detailed, engineering proposals worldwide to compare different designs and optimize the selection of...more (and sometimes even customizing) existing designs to fit the Chinese market and pricing. Past projects with BBMG included: 1) in-situe bioremediation of polluted land and water, 2) automated robotic cleaning system for oil tankers, 3) using special fiber-reinforced concrete to act as a replacement for wood, marble and stone.
1) My company's main profit source comes from buying, repairing, interior decorating, renting, and flipping houses. 2) Translates documents and websites for Shineway Biopharmaceutical...more Group (shineway.com). Help to write about Shineway’s medicinal products for the US market in English. 3) Looked for the highest quality antibodies, reagents, and bio-medical equipment at the most competitive prices to supply international customers.
Senior Consultant for NOAA
2013 - 2014 (about 1 year)
Worked as a troubleshooter on NOAA's Java-based, Advanced Weather Interactive Processing System (AWIPS II). AWIPS is an advanced processing, display, and telecommunications...more system that is the cornerstone of the United States National Weather Service. AWIPS’ client countries also include most of Canada and Mexico. This was a very hard job - but a job that I quickly excelled in. However, could not handle the stress of being on call 24/7 and was eventually forced to resign.
Automated the statistical analysis of the genetic data gathered from this company's gene-sequencing machines using my software. By pulling and analyzing the digitized genetic...more data from this company's servers, my software automatically generates personal genetic diagnostic reports for our customers. These printed personal reports are filled with hundreds of highly-stylized charts and graphs that gave our customers an easy-to-read, genetic-diagnostic booklet containing their genetic information.
Electrical and Computer Engineer
2002 - 2007 (about 5 years)
Created 2 innovations for the US Air Force’s development of its newest ECM pod (“AN/ALQ-213”). Designed a mathematical model and a MATLAB program to optimize, visualize,...more and test the distribution and orientation of IR/UV/Laser missile-warning sensors for this ECM pod, which is deployed on most of the current NATO aircrafts. (I got very lucky on this project.) Independently designed a domain-specific, network-distributed, computer language in order to build a large network-sensor-fusion program.
Automatically perform all the ballistic calculations.
The primary purpose of our "smart," precision-guided, targeting systems is to allow our shooters to both see and attack a target accurately,… · More without having to expose themselves to return fire.
The second purpose of our "smart" targeting systems is to provide night-vision capabilities and allow our shooters to operate under any light and weather conditions.
Thirdly, we designed our targeting systems to automatically perform all the detailed, ballistic calculations for our shooters, in real-time, to improve their speed and accuracy in taking out their targets at extended ranges. This is all done through target tracking, head-mounted display, advanced mobile computing, and the use of our patented, fire-control system.
And lastly, we have added wireless connectivity to allow our weapons to integrate with the local and wide-area-networks to provide voice, video, and data transmission to remotely connected devices, systems, and command-and-control infrastructures. This will give our commanders and teams of operators a "common picture" to work with and full-battlefield-awareness at all times. http://www.vrmaverick.com
We’re are on a mission to create the best, 3D, 360°, and surround-sound media, websites, games, apps, and UI's for virtual and augmented reality… · More platforms.
What if you could browse the web in virtual reality? Just imagine the potentials. Hyperlinks could take you, not to Wikipedia pages about history, but right to the 360° view of the landscapes of ancient cultures. Immerse yourself in wars and plagues. Message boards could also become 360° view of face-to-face chats. If you own a clothing store, imagine being capable of offering your customers a virtual-reality, shopping experience from online. They can tap on a button and be able to instantly load up a 3D shopping mall with cloth that they can "virtually" try on. The potential here is obvious, These virtual reality experiences load up quickly over the web, and they are smooth. One second you're looking at a normal website. The next, you can be riding a 3D roller coaster that can make your stomach drop.
Tap a button, and, instantly, a 2-D website will fill your vision with a complete, 3D, 360°, interactive world. In fact, if your customers adopt to our company's specific VR hardware, they will be able to actually walk up to an object on your VR website and touch it. Browse through some of our 3D, 360° videos below by using the drag function on your mouse to explore the full immersive view of virtual worlds.
Integrating modern mobile devices, virtual/augmented reality platforms, and drones into combat weapons. Set out to put the most-current, state-of-the-art, mobile technologies into the most practical and high-in-demand products and applications that can assist and augment current human capabilities.
My professional work has being very exciting to-date. In the highlight of my career, I managed to design and simulate the current IR/UV/Laser sensor orientations in MATLAB for Terma's AN/ALQ-213 Missile Warning System / ECM Pods - currently used on most of the NATO aircrafts. (I got very lucky!) I also hold 2 patents in a domain-specific language, independently developed to simplify and rapidly prototype my repetitive work in networking and distributed computing. My language has being notably used in the applications of 1) networking SAM Radars to augment their collective jamming resistance, 2) distributed computing of simulated missile trajectories and Pk ratios, 3) distributed computing of sequenced genetic data. I am currently managing 2 profitable companies that I have founded with my wife. This successful entrepreneur experience has allowed me to see all the unglamorous aspects of being a boss and has molded me to be the best version of myself.
