AngelList is an amazing place to work! Amazing product with very real scale and a very real mission -- plus the most talented team I've ever worked with!
If you're into professional gaming, AngelList is definitely a stepping stone.
The work culture for engineers is phenomenal. No fixed hours. Remote work OK (seriously, I spent 4 weeks in Berlin and London last summer). Basically, all of the barriers to productivity have been stripped away.
I love being able to operate as a founder within the company. The culture attracts the very best; I learn something new from one of my teammates every day.
This is the place to be for former and future founders looking to build stuff that matters with as little BS as possible.

What's an example of something a new hire would work on?
After orientation and onboarding, hires usually start by applying an area of their expertise to a small project they can tackle on their own. That project might be part of a larger effort (for example Jobs, or Syndicates), but the idea is to taste the one-(wo)man startup philosophy and deliver it from start to finish. A recent hire wanted to improve the profile design and quickly worked with a designer on improving it. We've found that most people are gravitating towards a specific part of the product quickly, and then continue to work within the corresponding team for a few months. As an engineer, you will probably ship code on your first day.

What is unique about working at AngelList?
There is almost no management - all teams and engineers self manage and prioritize features, roadmaps, and product decisions. There is a huge amount of freedom and responsibility at the individual level. The whole team is surprisingly small, and in turn, most employees have a pretty varied set of tasks and responsibilities. Also check out - a somewhat older, but still very relevant article about how AngelList works.
