AllTheRooms is the largest accommodation search engine on the Internet. We combine sites like Expedia, Airbnb, and Couchsurfing to provide a comprehensive search for our users.
Customers visit our site, conduct a customizable search and receive a list of every single room available. Whether a hammock in the caribbean, a flat in NYC, or a 5-star hotel in Hong Kong, we’ve got it. Customers book with ease, knowing that they have found the perfect home-away-from-home.
What we are looking for...
We are looking for a user-experience (UX) designer with user-centred methodology, responsible for conceiving and conducting user research, interviews, surveys, observations, comparative analysis and tests. Someone who is able to translate them into user flows, customer journey maps, wireframes, features and fix proposals in order to ensure a great user experience, iterate upon it in accordance with a/b testing and analytics information creating user experiences.
Responsibilities
- Translate concepts into user flows, wireframes, mockups and prototypes that lead to intuitive user experiences optimized for a wide range of devices and interfaces.
- Assess and optimize the performance of new and existing features by leading usability testing & user research, and interpreting analytics data.
Identify user behaviors via LogRocket videos & analytics events and generate hypothesis.
- Work with developers and other team members to identify design problems and devise elegant solutions.
- Take a user-centered design approach and rapidly test and iterate your designs.
- Ask smart questions, take risks and champion new ideas.
Requirements
- One or more years of UI/UX design experience.
- Experience in using UI/UX design best practices to design solutions, and a deep understanding of mobile-first and responsive design.
- A solid grasp of design thinking, information architecture and usability & accessibility concerns.
- Ability to iterate designs and solutions efficiently and intelligently.
- Ability to clearly and effectively communicate design processes, ideas, and solutions to teams and handle the right tools to communicate that Ideas like Sketch, OmniGraffle, inVision or other that like.
- Ability to work effectively in a team setting including synthesizing abstract ideas into concrete design implications.
