My friend and I started Modabound while still in college when we noticed there was a trend amongst college students to reuse other people's clothes. We decided to launch an...more app where university students could buy and sell clothes to one another. My main role was to evolve the Modabound app in a way that best served our users. I built and managed the design and engineering team, and was involved in other aspects of the business such as fundraising, marketing, business development and legal.
At Tumblr I helped identify new markets for growth and launch marketing initiatives there I worked with the international marketing team to understand the growth of Tumblr...more outside of the US I helped organize and launch a marketing event in Brazil with the goal of showing Tumblr’s appreciation for their Brazilian fans. I contributed to analyzing the results of the event and suggested solutions for what could be better to improve this groups' experience.
Built, launched and developed a peer-to-peer mobile fashion marketplace straight out of college. 3 months after the launch of our MVP, the company was chosen alongside 9 other companies from a pool of 1300 applicants to attend TechStars , renowned incubator program for startups. We grew user-base to over 10,000 users in just over 6 months.
