Job Description

We are looking for exceptional software engineers interested in early stage opportunities in data mining and machine learning for our industry leading churn prediction and retention marketing products.

As part of our small team, you will be responsible for the design and implementation of Adazza’s churn prediction backend. This system supports the scheduled upload of customer data, transformation into features, fitting of churn prediction and segment analysis models, and generation of results dashboards and reports. You will work closely with our chief architect to design and improve models and build the data pipeline that makes our products work.

Here at Adazza, you will join an engineering team in its earliest stages, with all the accompanying benefits and challenges. We are looking for engineers with the right combination of deep expertise, creativity, flexibility and leadership to thrive in a fast moving, fun, occasionally chaotic startup environment.

You should be comfortable working with a wide range of technologies and able to quickly and eagerly learn new systems and skills as the need arises. Above all, you will need to think like an owner: anticipating customers’ needs for new features and solving problems before others even recognize them.

To be considered, candidates must have experience with:
- Developing software that runs on distributed big data systems like Hadoop,
- Pig and/or Spark.
- AWS data processing and analysis tools: specifically EMR, Redshift and RDS.
- Building ETL tools and pipelines.
- Java, Scala, Python and/or R (the languages used in various parts of our codebase).

Desirable skills include:
- Application of Machine Learning technologies to large scale, real world data problems.
- Expertise with open source ML frameworks such as R, MLLib, Weka, etc.
- Experience with churn prediction, social network analysis, lifetime value estimation, or survival analysis.
- Experience with Data Warehouse design and operation.

If you're ready to take your experiences and apply them in a place where impact will be large and immediate, please send your CV to engineering@adazza.com.

About Adazza
----------------
Founded in 2015, Adazza is part of the vanguard of companies making “big data” technology directly accessible to business decision makers. Adazza puts state of the art churn prediction tools in the hands of the marketer, bypassing the traditionally slow business analytics process. With Adazza, marketers can see which of their customers represent a retention risk and the likely reasons for them to churn, allowing them to plan, execute and monitor efficient retention campaigns.

Above all else, we value health and family. We emphasize realistic and reasonable workloads and good work/life balance. We offer competitive salaries, generous equity compensation, unlimited vacation, and full medical/dental/vision coverage for both employees and their family.

What We're Building

Telecoms power the fabric of daily modern life for people around the world, but they are still stuck using archaic software built in the 90s. Adazza is bringing machine learning to telecoms by taking advantage of the massive advancements in cloud infrastructure and computing power to solve real business problems like customer churn.
