Command Education is the world’s premier education and college consultancy, helping guide students through succeeding in high school and the college application process. We are seeking recent college graduates from Ivy League and top tier universities to join the team. This Senior Mentor position is full-time and remote. *Note: Compensation is a combination of base salary and annual bonus.
General job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Mentoring a select number of high school students and providing high-touch assistance with all aspects of the college admissions process, including (but not limited to):
- Providing guidance/feedback on college lists, essays, scholarships, and applications
- Conducting interview prep, resume revision, and summer program/internship search assistance
- Strategizing course selection, extracurriculars, and volunteer opportunities
- Forging strong mentor-mentee relationships and helping students develop academically, personally, and emotionally
- Guiding students through personal project and extracurricular development
- Building detailed 12-month and multi-year roadmaps for students
- Supporting the Director of Mentoring along with other team members and assisting in developing shared resources and project management
- Assisting with and taking the lead on other projects relating to company development
- Reporting directly to the Director of Mentoring
Requirements:
• BA/BS degree from an Ivy League or top-tier college
• Excellent organizational skills, focus, can-do mentality, and attention to detail
• Experience with education, mentoring, advising, and/or tutoring
• Extremely strong reading, writing, and editing skills
• Self-starter with strong organizational skills, excellent follow-through, and ability to come up with
creative solutions as well work independently and collaboratively on a small team
• Able to maintain an excellent work ethic and high level of enthusiasm/energy
• Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
